NOMINATE A WORTHY COLLEAGUE FOR SCHOOL COUNSELOR OF THE YEAR!

It’s that time of the year when the MSCA regions are beginning to think about Professional Recognition nominations and awards! We hope you will consider nominating a fellow school counselor who you feel is exemplary and deserves to be recognized.

All nominations for consideration on the state level may be completed online on the MSCA awards site. For School Counselor of the Year nominations, go to: https://missouri.schoolcounselorawards.org/scoy/ and click  “Nominate Someone.”

Be sure to check with the nominee and review the requirements for consideration, which includes the number of consecutive years of membership in MSCA and years of practice in the school counseling profession. MSCA award winners serve as resources and role models for the counselors in their level. It is required that a school counselor who won their region at a specific level continue to be employed at that level for state consideration.
